No, Japan is a right hand drive country so pretty much all Japanese imports are right hand drive. All the cruisers we import are right hand drive.
Many of the models we offer are not available as official UK cars.
Japan is a temperate country. They don't use road salts on the roads like we do in the UK and therefore underside corrosion is often none to minimal.
The Japanese also tend to use public transport much more than us in the UK as it is much more reliable. This means most cars in Japan have a much lower mileage for the year than UK cars. Many of the cars we import have sub 50k miles on the clock. This means much less wear and tear on all components.
They also tend to be far more obedient and thorough than us in the UK and for that reason Japanese cars tend to be serviced at all the correct intervals and maintenance standards kept high.
Many of the cars we import have history in Japan, either with main dealers themselves, or independent garages. Where possible we endeavour to get the service documents with the car, however this is not always possible. However you can rest assured that we will thoroughly inspect the car mechanically and that it will be serviced by us, with a new service book if it is missing.
Yes, Japanese cars offer excellent safety features and crash ratings. The Japanese MOT (Shaken) is far far stricter than a UK MOT, however we will have MOT’d your car on arrival in the UK on top of this. Newer cars will also go through an IVA test to ensure they meet UK standards, including the addition of factory fog lights etc which are often not a requirement in Japan.
As there are no official emission certificates on imports (even with an IVA test) it is done solely on the month and year of the vehicle.
All the cars we offer meet Euro 4/5/6 standards depending on the year of manufacture.
No, with many companies now specialising in imported cars, it’s a competitive market – Nowadays, many main stream insurers will quote very competitively for ‘grey imports’ such as the Alphard or Elgrand MPVs (meaning cars never sold in the UK market).
Obtaining parts and independent and main dealer servicing is straightforward.
